Day 25 of Make Madness – Recycled Mint Tins

IMG_25561-550x366In life before diabetes, I would always carry a tin of Altoids in my purse, but now I use a sugar-free variety of mint.  We would buy Altoids in bulk at Costco and keep tins in our cars as well as in my purse.  They were our favorite mint.

When we finished the mints, I’ll bet you can guess what I did with the tins.  I kept them.

And today I’m going to follow this tutorial so I can pretty them up and use them for a variety of uses.  A few projects I have in mind are a sewing kit, a hexie kit, knitting stitch markers holder and a watercolor kit.

Until this evening,

Grace
