Day 10 {Make Madness} – Doodles

Day 10 of Make Madness – Doodles

linda-farmer-tangle-1-300x300Making the washi tape yesterday reminded me of when I used to color whole sheets of papers with doodles as a kid.  I would take a blank sheet of paper and a black pen, scribble a series of loops and shapes and then spend the afternoon coloring in the spaces.

It’s incredibly relaxing to doodle, so much so there’s a term called Zentangle – Zen+tangle.  Apparently it’s so relaxing it can bring on a zen-like state.  I don’t know if that ever happened to me, but I do know doodling was calming and peaceful.

I found a website called TanglePatterns.com with hundreds of zentangle patterns.  This seems to be advanced doodling and I’m excited to give it a try.

Come back tonight to see how I did.

Until this evening,

Grace
