I’m starting a blog series on April 2nd called {DIY From Scratch}.

I decided to start April 2nd because Mike’s birthday is April 1st and we’ll be celebrating.  I also thought I would give myself a 24 hour break in between monthly series.

I’ve made my own laundry detergent (the gooey, gloopy kind), all purpose cleaner and soap in the past and love the idea that I know (and can pronounce) all the ingredients in these items. I plan to try to make all our home cleaning solutions as well as look into solutions for the garden.

All the posts in this series will involve making home and gardening solutions, beauty concoctions and DIY projects from scratch.  I’m interested in seeing if these will 1) save me money and 2) actually work.  I’ll be doing a summary post at the end of the month to report on the effectiveness of my attempts.
