Day 31 of Make Madness – DIY Dishtowels
I started by cutting the summer dress into the largest pieces of fabric possible and kept the hem intact. This gave me only three sides to hem.
I used an old dishcloth as my pattern and cut out several “new” dishcloths. The fabric is a nice heavyweight cotton which will do well for kitchen chores. I hemmed the three remaining sides and was done in no time at all. The whole project went faster than I thought it would.
I love being able to get the most use of things and this is one of the projects that feels very satisfying.
Well this is the end of the {Make Madness} series. It’s been so much fun trying new activities and working on projects that I’ve been literally wanting to do for years. Thank you for joining me on this little venture. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
April Blog Series {DIY From Scratch}
I’ll be doing a blog series in April called {DIY From Scratch} starting April 2nd. All the posts will involve making home and gardening solutions, beauty concoctions and DIY projects from scratch. I’m interested in seeing if these will 1) save me money and 2) actually work. I’ll be doing a summary post at the end of the month to report on the effectiveness of my attempts. Really hope you will join me.
If you’re just joining the madness with {Make Madness} here are links to the previous projects.
