Card #8 – New Baby Girl card
I need to start off today’s post with a confession. I did, in fact, make today’s card – I just didn’t make it today. I made it about 8 months ago for a card making challenge. Yesterday, I was going through my stash of cards and came across this card and thought it would make a good addition to this series and truth be told, I simply ran out of time. So here’s today’s card along with the tutorial video I made.
I used pink cardstock (5 1/2″ X 8 1/2″) for my base, pale pink cardstock (5 1/4″ X 4″) for the front and a selection of pink patterned cardstock (1″ X 5″) for the design.
Here is the finished card.
And the video (it’s only 8 minutes):
This is also a great card for using up scraps. The scalloped pieces are made using a scallop die cut and run through the Big Shot Machine. Additionally, you could really use this design with any sentiment.
Remember to leave a comment below and be entered to win this card today and possibly the Grand Giveaway of all 31 cards on February 1, 2015.
Until tomorrow,
In the video, when we asked if we were getting another puppy, we thought you understood that ‘puppy’ meant a dog of any age. Obviously we need to communicate better. That being said, we think Mindy’s awesome. Good choice!
Now if I only knew someone expecting a girl, this card is really darling.
Thanks so much.
We haven’t had a girl born in our family since my baby sister and she is 39 years old!
Very pretty card!
Loved watching the video – you make it look so easy!
Thank you. And it really is quite easy.
What a great video! You’ve got the perfect voice for it, too. So pleasant to listen to! 🙂 Great tips, I really enjoyed it.
Wow! Thank you very much. That’s very kind and I’m glad you enjoyed the video.
I think you should always do a video :o)
adorable!!!
