10things {} Santas

One of the blogs I follow is www.shimelle.com.  Shimelle Laine is a blogger, scrapbooker, glitter gal, resident of London and all around amazing talent.  I found out about her through a podcast I listen to, “The Paperclipping Roundtable”.  Every month, she blogs ten things on the tenth.  And she encourages other bloggers to join in.  Your ten things can be absolutely anything you feel like sharing!

In the spirit of transition and trying new things, I thought I would give this a go.  But the 10th round around, today, and I was struggling to come up with 10 of anything.  I happened to mention this to Mike and he just nonchalantly said, “You should take 10 pictures of your Santas.”  So I did.

My Santa collection started when we first were married, 24 years ago, so I have a few.   Probably 90% of my collection has been given to me over the years, so it has special sentimental value for me because each of those guys are attached to a person.  This is the collection in its entirety (as of this Christmas) and the following 10 Santas are my favorites.

This Santa has such a gentle face and he also has a faithful companion.

This is my woodland Santa. I love the detail and the deer that accompanies him.

I love the serene quality of this Santa and the snowman hugging him.

This guy has a wonderful burgundy and goal paisley coat. And his beard is so fluffy it covers his whole face.

Now Santa wouldn't be complete without Mrs. Clause. This was the first addition to my collection.

My mom and dad-in-law bought this Fitz & Floyd for me one Christmas. I love the vintage glass and the rich colors.

This guy actually came from England. There he's known as Father Christmas.
