Yesterday I made a DIY Soft Scrub Cleanser and it worked great. As I mentioned at the end of that blog post, I wasn’t happy with the left side of the sink, but I didn’t blame the cleanser. I blamed myself for letting the sink get to that state. So I decided to leave the scrub on overnight to see if that makes a difference.
It helped a bit, but the stain was still visible. I decided to go the bleach route, but soon discovered we were out of bleach. So I googled, “homemade bleach” and found this tutorial from the same blogger that showed me how to make the Soft Scrub Cleanser, OneGoodThingByJillee.
I mixed the ingredients and poured the solution into the sink. I’ve decided to leave it overnight and I’ll report on the results tomorrow.
Here are the before photos:
It’s difficult to tell from the pictures because of the lighting, but the stain really is diminished in the right picture, but not removed completely.
Let’s hope the Natural Bleach Alternative works.
Until tomorrow,
Is that stuff going to make your sink as white as my fur?
