One whole week of December has passed. The time goes by so fast and the days are packed with such richness that it’s hard to remember everything. So glad I’m writing some of it down.
- My December Daily picture and journal entry will be about celebrating with good friends.
This picture is my entry for the iHeartFaces Photo Challenge. Today’s topic was “the view from here”. Here is my dining room table and the view is mainly our tree, but mostly the completed decorating. Feeling very festive and it’s only Dec 7th.
- For “Journal Your Christmas”, today’s journal prompt is about being present and not overcomplicating the season. A suggestion was made to take a moment and just write a quick list, in the moment, of where I find myself. Here’s my list:Right Now…Seeing… two cute pooches curled up asleep in their new beds.
Hearing…Christmas music by Enya. So soothing.
Smelling…cinnamon, nutmeg and oranges. My stove potpourri hard at work.
Tasting…egg nog with a sprinkle of nutmeg.
Feeling…very blessed. 25 Christmas movies. Mike and I watched “The Santa Clause”. Released 18 years ago, this is an oldie, but a goodie.
“Woody and I have been working on a ‘Right Now…’ list also. Want to hear it? Thought you did. Okay, here goes…
Seeing… our leashes hanging on the leash
hook. They should be on us.
Hearing… the pitter-patter of little squirrel feet on the roof.
Smelling… everything!
Tasting… nothing right now, but we’d like to be tasting one of those doggie treats you keep in our cookie jar.
Feeling… like you’re not going to give us a treat because it’s too late.”
